Earning Income From Blogging 101

It is indeed possible to create an income from blogging. It is also possible to set up your own blog for zero dollars at blogger.com

Blogs that earn the most money are run by people who are writing and promoting their main interests, goals and passion.

Before you start a blog it is a good idea to Google your ideas and look at other blogs to gather tips and ideas.

There are many self proclaimed internet marketers charging tens to hundreds of dollars teaching people how to dominate the internet traffic and tricks such as back-linking.

As an owner of many blogs, I have never needed to use any of these tricks. My blogs show up naturally in search engines because I title each post with my exact topic, this way in Blogger, when people look up certain keywords that are directly related to my posts, my article will come up on the first page. As a new blogger if you are good with your keywords and descriptions, you will definitely target your traffic. I once wrote a review for my home repair contractor and titled my post " Highly Recommended HVAC Streamwood, IL." The contractor told me it was the best advertising he ever had. I spent zero dollars on advertising. I wrote the article and posted it on Facebook and Twitter.

The purpose of today's article is to tell you, that despite what internet experts out there who are charging money to teach you this stuff. You do not need to spend a dime to start your own blog.

I strongly advise you choose a topic that you are an expert in. Most people make the mistake of starting a blog based on something they know nothing about. A friend of mine started a blog about stereo equipment, he knew nothing about it but thought here could earn money selling stereo equipment through a local store. His blog failed because he did not have a good handle on the subject. Are you good at cooking, babysitting, recommending restaurants or travel? Are you good at sports? 

Your expertise may be essential to those needing information online.

When you set up your blog on Blogger, it is one of the easiest set-ups to learn for beginners. Nay of the templates and layouts are set-up for you. You can play around with the design and adjust things and ad elements your blog. I would advise getting in one month's worth of content on your blog. Post at least three times a week to your blog. Get some good content rolling so your vistors can stay awhile and read around. This will prove well for monetizing your blog.
